Arts & Crafts Supplies for Neonatal Unit

For families with babies in the Neonatal Unit, the journey can be a difficult one. To help make this time feel a little brighter, the team on the unit, with support from Bradford Hospitals Charity, provided arts and crafts supplies for families to mark special occasions.

Emma Gent, Sister on the Neonatal Unit said: “We have used the charitable funding to celebrate key events in the calendar, so Mother’s Day, Father’s day, Eid and Christmas. The journey on a Neonatal Unit can be tough and we feel that by celebrating these special and significant events we can make that journey a little bit nicer.

“We have received verbal feedback from parents about how this makes them feel. One mum told me she hadn’t really thought about celebrating Mother’s Day and when she arrived and saw her gifts, it was a moment when it confirmed to her that she was a mum!

“The funds also supply craft items for our 'Journey Folders' and memory-making crafts for our families. I recently bumped into a mum who had a baby here two years ago. She remembered me and mentioned the Journey Folder we did together and still has this now.”

Thanks to donations to Bradford Hospitals Charity, these supplies not only help families celebrate but also allow them to create memory-making crafts that they can cherish.

By supporting Bradford Hospitals Charity, you’re helping provide these heartwarming experiences, giving parents a chance to feel recognised and connected during their baby’s earliest days. Each contribution makes a difference, ensuring that families can feel supported and uplifted as they create meaningful memories with their newborns.
