Do something brilliant for Bradford! Join The 100 Club
An exciting new venture promises to give local businesses, faith and community groups the chance to join an exclusive networking club while supporting the life-saving work of our NHS hospitals.
Bradford Hospitals’ Charity – the official charity of Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust – will launch its brand new 100 Club at 5.30pm, Wednesday 23 November at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
For a one-off or annual donation of £1,000, a business, faith, or community group can join The 100 Club and help our NHS charity support work with clinicians to enhance patient care, medical treatment and the hospital environment. The funds will pay for a range of projects – from specialist equipment to refurbishments – all of which aren’t routinely funded by the NHS, but which improve patient experiences and outcomes, and make a big difference to Bradford’s communities.
Not only will organisations be reassured that their donations are making a difference, they will also be acknowledged with a leaf on a new Giving Tree, situation in the main concourse of Bradford Royal Infirmary. They will receive regular news about how their donations are making an impact, and they will have the opportunity to meet other like-minded businesses and organisations at an annual gathering. There, they will also hear from front-line NHS staff about the work of Bradford Hospitals’ Charity across Bradford Teaching Hospitals and how 100 Club funds are invested.
Businesses, faith and community organisations who attend the launch – Welcome to The 100 Club – will have the opportunity to meet senior executives from Bradford Teaching Hospitals, as well as clinicians, to hear about the work of Bradford Hospitals’ Charity so far across Bradford Royal Infirmary, St Luke’s Hospital and community hospitals. The Giving Tree will also be unveiled, which will feature the very first companies to sign up.
Professor Mel Pickup, Chief Executive of Bradford Teaching Hospitals, said: “We are incredibly proud of the close relationship we have with local businesses, faith, and community organisations, and grateful for the support they give our NHS charity and our Trust. We will never forget the many offers of help we received during the darkest days of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the substantial cash donations we received which enabled our charity to fund extra medical equipment, meaning we could speed up diagnoses and provide the very best treatment for patients.
“Bradford really is a very special place, where communities pull together and support each other. It has a proud tradition of supporting our NHS, and we promise to use the funds raised by our charity’s 100 Club to support our clinicians in providing the very best treatment and care for patients.”
Hayley Collis, Head of Fundraising for Bradford Hospitals’ Charity, said: “Never before have we offered this opportunity, to be part of a networking club which has both committed to enhancing local hospital services, and which has exclusive insights into how the funds are being invested.
“We are also excited to reveal our new Giving Tree, which will take pride of place next to M&S in Bradford Royal Infirmary’s concourse.”
