Appeal Update

As we approach the festive season, we are all undoubtedly reflecting on what an unprecedented year 2020 has been.  You will have heard about our emergency NHS Hospital Heroes Appeal we launched earlier this year, where we shared the tremendous impact the coronavirus pandemic was having on both our NHS patients and staff.  It’s thanks to generous supporters like you that we have been able to make it through the crisis so far.

The appeal has raised over £360,000 which in turn has enabled us to care for both our NHS staff and patients.

Those two small words “thank you” have taken on a whole new meaning and without the help and kindness from people just like you, we simply wouldn’t be able to support our incredible NHS staff and patients at this time in the ways that we have. I want to say a sincere and heartfelt thank you.

We are incredibly proud of our NHS staff at this time, especially now as we are in a second wave of the pandemic and entering the long winter months.  We want to continue with our additional help in the months ahead, and we hope you will be able to support our winter appeal.  You can donate here

We still need your help now, more than ever before

As our hard-working staff face unprecedented pressures and challenges in the weeks ahead, Bradford Hospitals’ Charity has launched a large-scale fundraising effort to support our NHS hospital heroes.

Our staff will continue to treat and care for patients in their time of need and, as a charity, we pledge to care for them.

While we are all looking after our own families, our NHS staff are leaving their own families at home to care for others on the front line.

We can’t thank them enough for this sacrifice.

We know you like to say thank you through donations, so please donate if you can, via the link above.

All donations will be used to fund items which help our staff continue to work. From food and drink, to care packs, your donations will be spent wisely to support our NHS heroes.

Please share our JustGiving page far and wide!

We would like to thank you all for your generous donations of food, drink and toiletries over the past two months. We have taken delivery of thousands of items, which have been distributed to staff across Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Your kind donations have helped enormously and really lifted our spirits during some very difficult times.

However, we are planning for the months ahead and working to establish how we, as a charity, and our Trust can meet the needs of our staff in the most efficient and timely way possible. So can we politely request that, if you would like to continue your support, you make a cash donation instead of donating items.

This will allow us to manage stock levels of the most needed and most effective items, and it will mean our staff can concentrate their efforts on distributing them to the areas across the Trust which are required the most.

Again, a heartfelt thank you for your unwavering support throughout this crisis. Our staff will continue to provide the highest quality of care and treatment, which the people of this wonderful city deserve.

Please ensure you leave a message of support, so we can pass it on to our staff.
