Children’s doctor running to raise money
Dr Anne Pinches is running the Greater Manchester Marathon this Sunday in aid of Bradford Hospitals’ Charity.
Speciality grade paediatrician Anne works in ambulatory care and sees children in her clinic at St Luke’s Hospital. She is keen to raise money to enhance the service and fund additional equipment.
“I will turn 40 in October and I always wanted to do a marathon before that milestone birthday,” said Anne. “I have seen the difference the charity makes to patients and their care and treatment, which is why I want to raise as much money as possible.”
Anne said her training is going well. She is juggling running after her three children with her training schedule. Having done two half-marathons, she is keen to move up to a full marathon.

Note to Editors:
The ambulatory care unit enables patients to be treated as a day case or in their homes, rather than as an inpatient in hospital.
